SAL-WELL

The SAL-WELL project is exploring the link between stress and saliva biomarkers. It is funded by EUniWell which aims to understand, improve, measure, and rebalance well-being. The SAL-WELL consotrium (University of Murcia, Spain; University of Florence, Italy, Nantes Universite, France and University of Birmingham, UK) has examined in there are biomarkers in saliva, in relation to standardised questionnaires, that can report on the well being of students in times of perceived low stress and high stress.

The consrotium also explored if animal intervention, such as playing with dogs, or sports interventions could help decrease stress and saliva biomarkers. In this exhibition to stress conditions are represented by stress balls shaped like brains and interventions with a crocheted dog and a table top football game.
